Man shrugs off taser, swings shovel at police

The court has bound over a man to the grand jury after he allegedly shrugged off the shock of a taser and then swung a shovel at Manchester police as they tried to take him into custody.
The suspect, Kyle Scott Wallace, 36, is charged with aggravated assault, a crime that carries three to six years in prison if convicted. He came to the attention of law enforcement after a hang up call to 911. Officers found him walking down Woodbury Highway and tried to talk to him but he reportedly fled into a nearby apartment complex where he brandished a stick.
“He swung at four officers and made contact with (an officer’s) right hand,” the warrant reads. “He was tased multiple times but was unaffected.”
It was at that point police say the suspect picked up a brick and threw it through an apartment window and then used the stick to shatter a parked vehicle’s windshield.
“He then picked up a shovel and swung it at officers,” the warrant reads. “He charged at (an officer) with the shovel and the officer defended himself by striking Wallace in the face”
The blow floored the suspect and gave officers time to subdue him.
