Motlow State Community College (MSCC) recently hosted a reception and show for their art students. The exhibit featured drawings, paintings, ceramics, and wire sculptures, representing both 2D and 3D art.
MSCC now offers an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree in studio arts. In addition to the above listed arts, wood shop and print making classes are offered. The college has a commercial sized kiln, wood working equipment, and printing equipment. The AFA degree can also be earned for music, theater, design, and acting.
Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences Dr. Pam Harris attended the event, as well as Brian Robinson, Professor of Art, Rebecca Childress, Associate Professor of Art, Rachel Collins, secretary to the Dean, and Angie Parrish, Humanities Coordinator, to support the students.
The event was well attended by students, faculty, and members of the community. The show is exhibited in Eoff Hall, and will be on display until April 30.
