The jobs being expunged in the Federal Gov’t are being removed under the guise that they are all redundant, unnecessary, fraudulent, etc., probably thousands will still be needed.  For good or ill, Gov’t is a process not a business.  If lowering the federal deficit is the goal, then you’ll need a micrometer to measure the difference in savings.  Also, the laid off folks will apply for unemployment and some Social Security.  Yes, and maybe a giveaway of $5000 dividend or whatever it is!  The “Throwing the baby out with the bath water” is not good policy and certainly not America First.  So, what’s the end game? 

You may be buying a ham sandwich with baloney on it.  At some point the day-to-day things will have to be completed, e.g., Social Security checks/disbursements, student loan info, veteran benefits, patent filings.  So, de facto President Musk’s overseas network and AI/data network are anxiously awaiting the influx of these jobs.  Might mention that these jobs will not be “return to office” (RTO).  Can you imagine an overseas third party responsible for administering the needs of the vets/elderly/indigent!

May I suggest that you unwrap the “sandwich” and check to make sure it has ham on it and not baloney.
