Lawrence “Larry” Richard Buckley, formerly of Winchester, passed away Feb. 17, 2025 at Trinity Medical in Ferriday, Louisiana following a brief illness. He was 78 years old.

Larry was best known as Mr. B. the beloved band director and mentor to thousands of students over his career in Franklin County, Grundy County, and in Natchez, MS. He was also Uncle Larry to dozens of Buckley nieces and nephews and godchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at noon in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
