Tennessee Education Association continues educator awareness campaign

As the discussion around school choice intensifies in Tennessee, the Tennessee Education Association (TEA) is advancing its “My passion. My community. My TEA.” campaign featuring Tennessee educators.

A statewide organization that advocates for Tennessee educators, TEA produced the campaign to showcase educators speaking with pride about their love for their students and communities.

“No one is more committed to the success of Tennessee children than our public school educators,” said Tanya T. Coats, president of Tennessee Education Association. “More than 90 percent of Tennessee families send their children to their neighborhood public schools because they know the educators will meet their child where they are and provide a well-rounded education that prepares them for success.”

Outside the classroom, educators are integral to their communities – from being first responders to roller derby instructors to community volunteers.

The “My passion. My community. My TEA.” campaign highlights the vital role educators play both in and out of the classroom, sharing their dedication to shaping the future of Tennessee’s children and strengthening local communities. By celebrating the commitment of public school educators, TEA aims to inspire continued trust and support for the neighborhood schools that serve as the backbone of Tennessee’s education system.
