Riley Boyd Hice Obituary

Riley Boyd Hice, 4, of Tullahoma, passed from the arms of his mother and father into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025 at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital.

Riley was born in Nashville to Aaron and Ashley Larson Hice. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Gerald Hice, Sr. and JoAnne Hice, and Eugene and Judy Albright. Riley is survived by his loving parents, Aaron and Ashley Hice; his two older brothers, Nolan and Lucas Hice; grandparents, Rev. Gerald and Benita Hice, Kevin and Sharon Larson, and Cynthia Albright; great-grandparents, Glenn and Ruth Hill, and Imagene Larson; aunts, Amanda Elliott, Samantha Graves, and Emily Bowman; several cousins; and his golden retriever, Liddy. Riley was a bright light to all that met him. His joy and love for life and people was evident by his warm smile and sweetest waves. He loved nothing more than playing with his two older brothers and watching his favorite shows and movies with his family. Riley routinely asked for music and couldn’t help but dance and sing along when his favorite songs would come on. He had such a contentment just being outside and watching his brothers play while he sat in his swing.

Visitation for Riley will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will take place Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at Estill Springs Nazarene Church at 1 p.m. with Thomas Crummer officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee or the Brett Boyer Foundation.

Kilgore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
