The Tullahoma boys’ and girls’ basketball teams both picked up wins on Tuesday night against Central Magnet–the boys won 75-50 and the girls won 38-34.

The Lady Wildcats a lot like their previous performance against Marshall County, got another low-scoring hard-fought win against the Lady Tigers. Tullahoma ultimately won this game in the third quarter where they outscored the Lady Tigers 13–6, giving them a 32-21 lead going into the final period. The Lady Wildcats went on to only score six points in the final period, but the margin they gained in the third was enough to keep their distance from a Central comeback, giving them their fifth win in a row.

Tullahoma guard McLayne Bobo and forward Isabella Lidstrom were the ‘Cats go-to offensive players in the matchup. The two combined for 32 points–Bobo with 18 and Lidstrom with 14.

In the boys’ game against the Tigers, they added another 20-point win to their resume–their 12th this season. Tullahoma’s center Austin Tinnon scored a personal season-high 33 points in the matchup, as he continues to develop into a real offensive threat for the Wildcats. His huge game, along with other solid performances across the Wildcats roster, helped them race out to a 16-point advantage after the first half at 37-21. They maintained a large lead throughout the game, eventually giving them their fourth win in a row.

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams will next be in action on Feb. 7 against Lawrence County.
