Both girls’ and boys’ Tullahoma wrestling team pick up wins

Tullahoma girls’ wrestling won against Community High School 12-6, and the boys’ wrestling team won against Lawrence Co. 84-0 and against Community High School 75-6.

The girls’ win came from two pins by Katy Minor and Bree Oswald. The boys after shutting out Lawrence County in their win, went on to get 11 pins in their win over Community. Nolan Stroop, Corbin Avans, Hunter Roberts, Carson Avans, Jordan Frye, Lukas Agnell, Grayson Hartman, Lane Johnson, Knox Grimes, Sylas McGowen, and Uriah Tarrant all won by pins. Wildcats Kameron Stafford, Chandler Kile, Memphis Oswald, Carl Treuhaft, and Eduardo Hernandez matches went the distance and also picked up wins in the match against the Vikings.

The two decisive wins from the Tullahoma boys’ wrestling squad brought their record to an impressive 18-3 on the season.

The Wildcats will be in action next on Saturday, Jan. 18 when they travel to Cascade High School for a district duals event.
