DesJarlais takes oath of office

Congressman Scott DesJarlais (R-TN-04) was sworn into the 119th United States Congress on Jan. 3, 2025.

“I want to thank the good people of Tennessee’s Fourth Congressional District for entrusting to me the privilege to serve our great district. I look forward to working to advance President-elect Trump’s agenda to make life better for all Americans,” said Rep. DesJarlais in taking the oath with his family at his side.

The district lies mostly in the southern part of Middle Tennessee, but stretches into East Tennessee. It is currently composed of the following counties: Bedford, Bledsoe, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Grundy, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Meigs, Moore, Rhea, Rutherford, Sequatchie, and the vast majority of Warren. DesJarlais has served the district since 2011.
