GRAY DEYOStaff Writer
The Tullahoma wrestling team participated in a two-day event called the Lester-Welsh Duals. Seven other schools were present at the event, and out of the eight teams, they finished second—-going 5-2 in their matches. Their two losses came to Page, losing narrowly 37-32, and against West Creek High School, losing 47-19. Their five wins came against Franklin, Grissom, Oakland, Sparkman, and Warren County High School.
The THS program followed their dual with a single-team match on Dec.12, facing Forrest High School, where both the girls’ and boys’ teams dominated. The boys won by a score of 73-6, and the girls won in shutout style, 24-0. Hunter Roberts, Memphis Oswald, Lukas Agnell, and Corbin Avans all won by pins in their respective divisions in the boys’ match.
The Wildcats will look to add to their successful stretch at an all-day event— The Smoky Mt. Invitational—on Dec.14.
