Thank your health care workers this season
As we near the end of 2024, I want to express my gratitude to the extraordinary staff at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital. The challenges over the past few years have tested us all in unprecedented ways, yet your unwavering commitment, compassion and resilience have shone through. You have not only provided exceptional care to this community but have also supported each other, embodying the very heart of health care.
The holiday season is a critical time for us to come together and support one another, as it often brings increased activity across the hospital, particularly in the emergency department. Emergencies don’t take a holiday, and while we are always here to provide compassionate, high-quality care, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding if you or a loved one needs to visit the emergency department during this busy season. Longer wait times are sometimes unavoidable as medical staff prioritize those in critical need, but please know that every patient is important to us, and we are doing everything possible to provide timely care.
This is also a season when our health care workers make profound personal sacrifices. While many are enjoying time with family and friends, our nurses, doctors, technicians and support staff are at the hospital, working long hours to ensure our community stays safe and healthy. Their commitment is extraordinary, and I encourage everyone to join me in recognizing and appreciating the dedication of our staff members who give so selflessly.
Your understanding and gratitude go a long way in helping our team stay motivated through the holiday. On behalf of everyone at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital, I wish you and your families a safe, healthy and joyous holiday season.
