Help needed to provide Christmas Day meal

For the past 25 years, except for a couple of COVID years, we have hosted a free Christmas Day meal to some of Tullahoma’s less fortunate.   Thanks to a great group of volunteers and financial support from the community, we typically serve about 500 meals each Christmas morning.

Meals are delivered to disabled veterans, low-income single parents, chronically ill, unemployed, senior citizens, and anyone who is just lonely on Christmas Day.

The meals are purchased from Morrison Healthcare at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital.  They provide the meals (ham, vegetables and bread) at their food cost.   We appreciate the hardworking staff and their financial support.   The partnership we enjoy with the hospital really facilitates a smooth operation on Christmas morning.

Unfortunately, the cost of food has increased substantially.  We depend on area citizens, businesses, civic clubs and churches to help defray the cost of the meals.  If you or your organization are able to help, please send a check to Hot Meals, PO Box 84, Tullahoma, TN 37388 by December 13th.   The number of meals we can provide this year will be determined by the donations we receive.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your consideration, we realize this is short notice, but your help will lift the spirits of individuals who could use a little encouragement and a hot meal on Christmas morning.
