Tullahoma Kiwanis raise money for Toys for Tots
The Tullahoma Kiwanis Club, Tullahoma High School Marine ROTC, and McAlister’s Deli recently teamed up to raise funds for The Toys for Tots campaign. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, McAlister’s Deli donated 10% of the evening’s sales while the Tullahoma Kiwanis Club and the Tullahoma High School Marine ROTC served customers to collect tips that went to the Toys for Tots fund. They also collected toys that filled the collection box.
The efforts raised a total of $915.00 that were presented to Tina and David Bailey, retired Marine Corps. And Middle Tennessee Coordinator for Toys for Tots. Also present for the presentation were from left, Hope Mann McAlister’s management, Charla Graves, Tullahoma Kiwanis Club president, Dianne Barksdale Tullahoma Kiwanis community service chair, Bob Barksdale Tullahoma Kiwanis Club treasurer, and Autumn Klips, McAlister’s Deli.
Tullahoma Kiwanis Club has supported Toys for Tots for many years and were proud to add their donation to this joint effort. A special thanks to the Tullahoma High School Marine ROTC for their help and support. And to McAlister’s Deli and their employees for hosting the fundraiser.
Bailey said that approximately 250 children from the Tullahoma area will benefit from these efforts.
