James Arthur “Jim” Condra, Jr, died Friday, Nov. 29 2024, at NHC in Tullahoma. Jim was born on Feb. 23, 1935, in St. Elmo/Chattanooga. He was the son of James Arthur and Flowetta Perry Condra. He grew up on Lookout Mountain and attended Central High School and Kirkman Technical High School in Chattanooga. After graduation from Kirkman, Jim joined the United States Air Force in 1953 and after his service he married Sidney Lewis of Chattanooga. He soon began his career at AEDC at Arnold Air Force Base in the Instrumentation Branch. He and Sidney made their home in Tullahoma and raised two daughters. After retiring, they settled in Normandy. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Cedar Lane. Jim is survived by a daughter, Cindy Cox (David) of Normandy; a brother, David Condra of Rossville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Christen Clark (Ryne), Matthew Cox, and Levi Ralston; and one great-grandchild, Knox Clark. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sidney; and one daughter, Cherry Ralston.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at the Lewis-Lynn Family Cemetery near Adairsville, Ga. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation for Veterans and First Responders.
