Lula Madge “Trig” Harris Obituary
Lula Madge “Trig” Harris, 84, of Manchester passed from this life on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, in Manchester.
Ms. Harris was born in Winchester to her late parents Willie Richard Harris and Rose L. Riddle. She was a faithful member of Hillsboro Methodist Church and lived most of her life in Manchester. Ms. Harris served our country with the United States Army from 1959-1962. Ms. Harris worked for AT&T for many years in Atlanta and always traveled home every single weekend to be with her family. Her family was her life, and she loved them dearly. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and doing needlework. Ms. Harris was a member of the Tullahoma Senior Center where she participated in a sewing club. She made several jackets, quilts, and Afghans, most of which received prizes at the county fair. Ms. Harris loved her flowers, garden, and hummingbirds. She was also fond of the many dogs she had over the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth “Monk” Parmley; brother, Nelson “Brother” Harris; sister-in-law, Lala Harris; nephew, Willie Harris III.
Ms. Harris is survived by brother, Willie R. Harris, Jr.; brother-in-law, Sammy Parmley; sister-in-law, Barbara Harris; nieces and nephews, Ruby (David) Lara, Rosie (David) Turner, Danny (Janet) Harris, Kelly Harris, Linda Storey, Brian (Sue) Storey, and Jon (Jenn) Storey; several great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 from noon until 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Danny Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.
