Some of Tullahoma’s musically inclined talented high school students are set to take the stage for the 11th annual Young Musician Showcase on Sunday, Nov. 24, at South Jackson Performing Arts Center.

The young musicians will be performing in the annual concert at 2:30 p.m. Sun, Nov. 24, at South Jackson Performing Arts Center and will feature the top musicians from music teachers in Tullahoma including Doug Clark, Eleanor Giacoletti, Lisa Maurer, Tom Maurer, Dalton Parkerson and Jen Zimmerer

The Young Musician Showcase has been an annual performance since 2014.

“The showcase is an opportunity for Tullahoma’s own music teachers to feature their top high school music students in a formal concert setting,” organizers said. “The concert will feature performances on the piano, saxophone, trombone, clarinet, euphonium and French horn with pieces by Stamitz, Chopin, Creston, Debussy and Strauss.”

The concert format will be unique for attendees as Lisa Maurer, coordinator and accompanist for the event, provides a short musical history for each piece to educate the audience and enhance their listening experience.

Tickets for the showcase is $10 in advance or $12 at the door, and can be purchased at either southjackson.net or by calling the box office at 931-455-5321. The performing arts center is located at 404 S. Jackson St.

This year’s showcase will feature performances from Jonah Vallejos on clarinet, Josh Jones on French horn, Alexander Cook on euphonium, Sophie Doug, Parker Campbell and Benjamin Mehalic on piano, Edward Henry and Charlotte Ponder on alto saxophone and Jonas Carter on trombone.
