Kenneth Murray Bryant Obituary
Kenneth Murray Bryant, 79, of Shelbyville passed from this life on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at his home.
Born on Jan. 12, 1945, Kenneth was originally of Tullahoma born to the late Clarence L. Bryant and Mary Mabel Murray Bryant. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his half-sister, Margaret Love Bryant Bomar.
Kenneth was a graduate of Shelbyville Central High School class of 1962. He went on to attend the University of Tennessee for two years before joining the US Army, where he proudly served his country. Soon after, he would choose his career of an operating engineer. He worked for himself, operating outfits as owner operator of Bryant and Smith Construction and Bryant Trucking along with working with AEDC. Kenneth operated and maintained cranes, bulldozers, semi-trucks and all different types of heavy equipment during his long career.
In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, sailing, cooking, woodworking, beach vacations, and attending his grandchildren’s events. He was a wine connoisseur but most of all loved being with his family.
Kenneth is survived by wife, Becky Bryant; son, Stan McCullough and wife Andrea; daughter, Kristy Tocchio and husband Chris; grandkids, Savanna Wisener and husband Jackson, Gracie Beth McCullough, Mary Lynn Tocchio, and Andrew Tocchio; and great grandson, Preston Cole Wisener.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Jonathon Boyce officiating. Burial will follow at the Bryant Family Cemetery in the Hilltop community.
Visitation with the family will be held prior to funeral services beginning at noon Sunday at the funeral home.
