Appreciate Mother Nature’s glory

Even Mother Nature is being politicized. One would think that our state parks would be immune from partisan politics. Certainly this is one area that we as citizens of the Volunteer state can agree on. Our state in well known for not only being strong volunteers and advocates for the common good, we agree across the nation that Tennessee has one of the best park systems. Yes some of the most popular National Parks are on the left coast. But when it comes to working as a team, making our beautiful state an oasis from in the politics of day-to-day electronic life, I am thankful for the selfless approach of the many environmentally oriented groups in our state.

In less than a week a small but growing dedicated group of outdoor aficionados, will be gathering at Falls Creek Falls to celebrate the beauty of our state. We will be fanning out to hike, and enjoy the treasures of our natural wonders.  Mother Nature knows no political party, but in a very real sense she is a real living entity. She is symbolic of the true nature of our volunteer state composed of, “We the people.”
