The Tullahoma Middle School cross country members Ashleigh Johnson and Lincoln Bitton were at the State Championships again.

Johnson was running in her second straight State Championship and Bitton in his third.  Johnson finished at 48 out of 145 runners with a time of 14 minutes 2.27 seconds. That time was higher than her seed time. Bitton, who medaled in fifth last year, was in third just seconds behind first place after the first mile with a time of 5:12 on the mile. Unfortunately he was unable to finish due to injury.

This was Tullahoma’s first year competing in the large school category, changing prior to the beginning of this season.
