A man has been charged with 35 counts of shoplifting after Wal-Mart loss prevention discovered he had stolen from the store in Manchester on numerous occasions.
The suspect, Pierce Alexander Asgari-Rad was hit with the 35 different counts for separate instances of alleged theft that happened at the point of sale.
“He scanned certain items and would scan others after hitting the ‘total’ on the screen, causing the additional items to not ring up for payment,” prosecutors maintained in their warrant.
Lawmen noted that the evidence against the suspect not only includes the records of the self-checkout card reader but also surveillance camera footage.
