Tullahoma picks up more medals

The Tullahoma High School and Middle School cross country teams competed in the Green Hill Invitational in Hermitage and had medalists.

Katie Grace Nichols and Brindley Duncan medaled for THS. Nichols finished eighth and Duncan right behind in ninth. There were 81 total girls running. Nichols finished in 21 minutes 51.49 seconds. Duncan had a time of 21:59.44. Ashleigh Johnson and Lincoln Bitton got medals for TMS. Johnson placed seventh with a time of 14:00.10. Bitton finished fourth with a time of 11:32.10.

The THS girls team finished in fourth out of 10 teams, the boys placed 10 out of 15. The TMS girls were fifth out of 15 and the boys were ninth out of 15.

Other times for THS girls: Julianna Ites finished in 24:06.28, Audrey Sohrabi at 25:09.89, Bella Rivera in 28:31.76, Addie Colvin in 31:35.87 and Kailyn Hasty in 35:52.51. The top finisher for the THS boys was Lukas Price with a time of 18:36.09. Then it was Jackson Ites at 20:23.24, Wyatt Dorsett at 20:51.38, William Nichols at 22:34.30, Kurt Tipps at 22:39.87, Zach Murphy at 22:40.71, Andrew Carmack at 24:56.27, Jace Fisher at 26:45.09 and Major Montoye at 28:29.46.

The other times for the TMS girls’ team were: Claire Hyden in 15:40.97, Natalie Davis in 16:20.57, Hannah Eakin in 16:44.00, Kahmya Dixon at 19:20.5, Phoenix Fisher at 20:52.06, Eden Marsh in 22:40.89 and Rose Duval in 22:44.51. The Wildcat times after Bitton were; Jeffery Shrum at 13:37.06, James Davenport at 16:06.99, Seth Lynch at 16:13.48, Owen Sohrabi at 16:25.98, Brooks Bennett at 16:28.57, Jameson Szemodis at 16:51.79, Izayiah Johnson at 19:00.11 and Kai Hayashi at 20:53.29.

Both teams had another meet at The Hermitage again this weekend but the results were unavailable at the time of print. The THS teams will be at the Henry Horton meet on Sep. 19 for their next meet. The TMS teams will also be at the Henry Horton meet on Sep. 19 which starts at 4 p.m.
