Tullahoma continues historic play

The Wildcats golf team played a 3-way District match against Coffee County and Shelbyville and placed second with a season-best score of 302.

The ‘Cats were led individually by Brody Fulmer with a 74. Alex Miller and Keegan Taylor were right behind him with 75 each. Jack Hill was right with them shooting a 78. First-year Wildcat golfer, Hunter Hogan shot his personal best with a 79. Fulmer had the second best individual score of all 21 boys competing.

Myla Dennis, the only Lady Wildcat golfer, shot a 92 for the best round of any girl. She had the same score at the Cookeville High School Earlybird Invitational hosted by Cookeville.

The boys’ team finished second getting a plaque to bring home. Miller, Taylor, Fulmer, Hill and Caden Finchum competed for Tullahoma. Miller led the team with a 71. Hill was next with a 76, then Taylor at 78 and Fulmer right behind with a 79. Finchum’s score was not counted towards the team total, but he shot an 83. Miller’s score of 71 was tied for the second best individual score.

The Wildcats host a 4-way District 9-hole match Thursday starting at 4 p.m.
