Edwin Mitchel “Ed” Gleason, of Estill Springs, passed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at NHC in Tullahoma at the age of 85.

Mr. Gleason was born in Fairview, Oklahoma to the late Oliver Guy Gleason and Opal Walrath Gleason. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force and had attained the rank of Colonel before his retirement from military service. Mr. Gleason then went on to work in Academic Administration for the United States Air Force, as well as UTSI. He was also a long-time, devoted member of First Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gleason was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bryan Gleason; and one sister, Zelfa Howery.

He is survived by three sons, Steve Gleason and his wife Katie, Jeff Gleason and his wife Melissa, and Scott Gleason and his wife Bekah; seven grandchildren, Emily Gleason Bruin and her husband Daniel, Elise Gleason, Grant Gleason and his wife Sarah, Ben Gleason, Daniel Gleason, Micah Gleason, and Eli Gleason; and one great-grandson, John Gleason.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Tullahoma with his son, Dr. Scott Gleason officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
