Tullahoma places third to open season

The Wildcats played their first event of the season at Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club and scored a 312 as a team.
Lawrence County won the invitational with a score of 303. The Tullahoma boys’ team had 12 players compete. The group of five with the top team score were: Alex Miller, Jack Hill, Brody Fulmer, Keegan Taylor and Caden Finchum. Miller’s score of 73 was tied for the second best boys’ individual score. Taylor had the fifth best individual scored with a 74. Fulmer shot an 80, Hill had an 85 and Finchum scored an 88.
The ‘Cats had a second team competing that consisted of: Owen Weaver, Hudson Stroop, Brycen Campbell, Hunter Hogan and Blake Melton. Weaver and Stroop led the way for this team with an 88 each. Melton was close behind them with a 95, Hogan on his tail with a 97 and Campbell with a 100.
The Wildcats also had three golfers playing as individuals. For the boys’ team Andrew Fulmer and Parker Campbell played without a team. Fulmer and Campbell both shot a 86. Myla Dennis scored a 89 as the only Lady Wildcat. Her score was the eighth best individual score for a girl at the invitation.
The next competition for Tullahoma will be The Early Bird Invitational host by Cookeville High School at the Golden Eagle Golf Club.
