Bell Buckle celebrates 29th RC-MoonPie Festival

RC Cola and MoonPie lovers from all over the state flocked to the small town of Bell Buckle to celebrate their 29th Annual RC-Moon Pie Festival.

The main street was covered with craft and food tents of varying kinds, and RC Cola and MoonPie vendors as well.

The day offered a packed schedule of fun activities for participants, including a 5k and 10 Mile run, the Midstate Cloggers, a parade, the coronation of the festival King and Queen, a musical entertainer contest, which hosted several Elvis impersonators and the serving of the world’s largest MoonPie.

Along with all the vendors, local businesses got to participate in the festivities, offering the charms of Bell Buckle with antique items, gifts and several art galleries.

Despite the beating of the early summer sun, a cooling breeze made the festival a pleasant Saturday activity that offered the charms of the small town South.
