Bonnaroovians have landed for festival weekend

While the CMA Music Festival has wrapped up in Nashville, the music festival atmosphere will make its way 65 miles down the interstate as the 2024 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is set to take place this week, starting from Thursday, June 13, to Sunday, June 16, at Great Stage Park in Manchester.

This year’s lineup will see T-Pain, Megan Thee Stallion, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Carly Rae Jepsen, Gary Clark Jr., The Mars Volta, Cage the Elephant, Jon Batiste and many others as Pretty Lights, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fred Again.. headline the festival from Thursday to Sunday, respectively.

Kicking off Bonnaroo Thursday will be a special headlining set from Pretty Lights at Bonnaroo’s main stage, The What Stage, from 8:30 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. It won’t be the only time attendees will see Pretty Lights as the electronic music artist will also have a sunset set at The Other Stage during the festival. Other acts performing Thursday will include GWAR, Geese, It’s Murph, Matt Maltese, Say She She and more. Fisher was originally scheduled for Thursday, but was replaced by Chris Lake due to not being able to play at the festival. 

Friday will see Maggie Rogers, Interpol, Khruangbin, Seven Lions, T-Pain, Gary Clark Jr., The Mars Volta, Thundercat, including among many others, followed by the night’s headliner Post Malone, who will be making his third appearance at Bonnaroo, where he performed at the festival in 2016 and 2019.

Saturday’s acts will include Cage the Elephant, Melanie Martinez, Diplo, Jon Batiste, Parcels, The Teskey Brothers, BadBadNotGood and Knock2, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers taking the stage for the third time Saturday night.  While the Red Hot Chili Peppers have performed at Bonnaroo in 2012 and 2017, it will be the first time the band has performed at the festival with longtime guitarist John Frusciante, who rejoined the band in 2019. Also taking place Saturday night will be the The Dashboard Confessional Emo Superjam, which will feature special guests Andrew McMahon, Anthony Green, Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade, Geoff Rickly of Thursday, Ian Grushka of New Found Glory, Medium Build, Mike Kinsella of American Football, Tim Kasher of Cursive, Trousdale and Yvette Young of Covet.

Wrapping up Bonnaroo are Megan Thee Stallion, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Two Friends, Carly Rae Jepsen, Goth Babe, Galantis, Taking Back Sunday and more, with Fred again.. closing down The Farm. According to Bonnaroo officials, Sunday night’s headline set will mark the only U.S. festival performance by Fred again.. in 2024.

This year will also see Hulu returning as the official streaming destination of Bonnaroo. Hulu subscribers can catch select performances exclusive to Hulu at no additional cost, along with additional special footage and behind-the-scenes looks that will also be available.
