Benton Carter Smith Sr., 62, of Decherd, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  A native of Franklin County, he was born on November 3, 1961, to the late John Wayne “Buddy” and Neva June (Garner) Smith. 

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 2in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
