Kenneth Edward Buchanan Obituary
Kenneth Edward Buchanan, 80, of Tullahoma, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Vanderbilt-Harton Hospital.
He was born in Shelbyville on July 21, 1943, to the late Marshall Edward and Clara Mae (Smith) Buchanan. Kenneth served his country in the United States Air Force. Before his retirement, he had been employed as a computer programmer for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, and listening to music. But most of all he loved spending time with his family playing cards and dominos. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evie Mae Buchanan; and sister, Sheila. Kenneth is survived by his loving children, Stephanie (Robert) Thompson; and Nathan (Liza) Buchanan; grandchildren, Andrew Dean, Evan (Brittany) Dean, Landon Dean, Maddie Fraley, and Caroline Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Evie Dean, Savannah Dean, and Elijah Dean; sisters, Brenda Forrester, Cindy (Jerry) Henson, and Sharon; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26 in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Interment will follow at Hurricane Cemetery with military honors bestowed and Jeff Gattis, Terry Gregory, Jason Henson, Andrew Dean, Evan Dean, and Landon Dean serving as pallbearers.
