Tullahoma split games with Moore County

The Lady Wildcats were held off late by the Raiderettes while the ‘Cats jumped out to an early lead and never let the Raiders close the gap.

The Lady Wildcats had trouble scoring all night, only scoring double digits in one quarter. Meanwhile the Raiderettes scored double digits in all but one period.
Senior Lily Melton led the team in scoring with 17 points. She drained three 3-pointers, including two in the second quarter.
Both teams had their lowest scoring quarter in the first. Tullahoma scored just 6 points. Isabela Lidstrom, McLayne Bobo and Melton each scored 2 of the points. Melton and Lidstrom scored from the field, while Bobo made both of her free throws in the quarter. Moore County was led by Madison Dingler’s 5 points including a make from distance. Anna Harder chipped in with 3 points, hitting a field goal and a free throw in the first. The Raiderettes led 8-6 heading into the second quarter.
The Lady ‘Cats had their best period in the second. They won the period and posted their highest quarter point total on the night with 13. Melton led the way with 8 points. She sunk two shots from downtown in the quarter. Bobo scored 3 points, going 3 for 4 from the stripe. Aubrey North hit a shot from the field for the other 2 points in the quarter. Katy Fletcher led the Raiderettes with 4 points in the period, making a 3 and a free throw. Harder also hit a shot from beyond the arc. Dingler and Ellie Graham both made a shot from inside the arc for 2 points each. The game was tied 19-19 at halftime.
Tullahoma cooled back off, scoring single digits in the third quarter. Bobo led the way with 3 points after sinking a 3-pointer. Faith Vincent scored 2 points making the only other shot from the field for the Lady ‘Cats in the third. Lidstrom and Emilee Shuran each made a free throw to tally the team score of 7 points in the quarter. Graham led all scorers in the third with 6 points on three made baskets. Fletcher and Dingler both scored 3 points. Fletcher made a shot from beyond the arc and Dingler went 3-for-3 from the foul line. Audrey Harder made a shot from the field for the other 2 points in the quarter. Moore County led 33-26 going into the fourth.
Moore County’s inability to consistently hit free throws kept Tullahoma in the game throughout the fourth. The Raiderettes went 6-for-15 from the line in the final quarter. The Lady ‘Cats could not capitalize, only scoring 9 points in the quarter. Melton led the way with 7 points, making three shots from the field including a make from long range. Lidstrom scored the other 2 points with a make from the field. Dingler led the way for Moore County with 9 points. She went 5-for-9 from the foul line in the period. Graham scored the other point for the team with a made free throw. The Raiderettes won 43-35.
Tullahoma made just 12 field goals, four from the 3-point line. They also went 7-for-12 from the foul line. Moore County made 14 shots from the field, making four 3-pointers. They went 11-for-23 from the line.

Tullahoma hit nine 3-pointers and another 22 shots from the field in a dominating win over Moore County.
The ‘Cats had three double digit scorers led by Xavier Farrell with 13 points. He scored 6 in the first quarter. Jaiden Sanchez and DeAndre Jenkins were the other two with 10 points each. They both hit five shots from the field for their 10 points.
Tullahoma come out hot scoring 24 points in the first, including three 3-pointers. Farrell and Malik Grizzard led the team with 6 points each. Grizzard hit two shots from downtown. Farrell hit three shots from the field. Khani Johnson scored 5, making two shots with one from long range. Sanchez scored 4 of his points in the first. Alex Bobo scored 3, making a shot from the field and a free throw. Moore County was led by Logan Hegwood with 4 points. Wes Clifton and Alex Copeland each scored 3. Peyton Martin scored 2. Tullahoma led 24-12 after the first.
Moore County won their only quarter of the night in the second 11-10. Farrell, Sanchez, Jenkins, Keegan Taylor and Jayden Thompson all scored 2 points. Thompson scored his points from the foul line, while everyone else scored from the field. Copeland led the Raiders with 5 points, making a 3 and two free throws. Martin scored 4 points with two from the foul line. Clifton and Hegwood each scored 1. Tullahoma still led 34-23 at halftime.
The Wildcats removed any hope of a comeback with a 20-8 third quarter. Jenkins led the team with 6 points in the quarter, making three shots. Grizzard and Johnson each sunk a shot from beyond the arc. Sanchez, Farrell, Thompson and Austin Tinnon all made a shot from the field for 2 points each. Hegwood led Moore County with 4 points, Copeland had 3 and Dawson White had 1. The ‘Cats led 54-31 going into the fourth.
Even with the big lead Tullahoma kept the offensive barrage going in the fourth scoring 21 points. Cayden Poff led the way with 6 points, hitting two shots from distance. Taylor scored 4 points making a shot from downtown. Farrell also got in on the long range party making a 3. Jenkins, Andrew Carmack, Sanchez, Lucas Price and Will Hyden all scored 2 points from the field in the final period. Gavin Wise and Emery Bryan scored 3 points for the Raiders. Brantly Hill scored 2. Wildcats won by a final scored of 77-39.
Tullahoma hosts Marshall County for their first district game tonight with tip off at 6 p.m.
