Derek, Rocky, Jason, Willie and Cheryl’s leadership are what make our organization a success and I could not be prouder to announce their promotions. I am so proud of you guys for everything that you are and everything that you do for the community.”
In the Fire Department, three men were promoted and recognized by Fire Chief Kenneth Pearson.
Jasen Damron was promoted to Deputy Chief, Zach Smith was promoted to Assistant Chief and Tim Tucker was promoted to Lieutenant.
Each of the responders recognized were joined by their families, and their spouses were given the opportunity to place the pin on their chest.
Pearson said in a statement “As Fire Chief, I couldn’t be prouder of these men as they take on the next challenge in their careers. I know they will continue to push the department to the next level, and I know each of them have a servant’s heart and want the best for the community.”
City Administrator Jason Quick said during the ceremony, “Today’s pinning ceremony was a great example of what makes both our Fire and Police Departments so special. Both departments have done an excellent of hiring and training their personnel to reach the level of excellence needed to be promoted. To watch the spouses and families of those promoted is a reminder that while our employees make a commitment of service to the City, it is their families who make such a sacrifice of support. Now, the demographics of our departments are ideal in terms of experience with our senior leadership building the next generation of leaders to carry on the outstanding culture of commitment and service to the residents of our great city. Tullahoma is blessed to have such a great group of men and ladies leading the efforts of our first responders.”
