Julie Gae Adams Obituary

Julie Gae Adams, born on May 14, 1961, in Twin Falls, IA, lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and enduring love. Her journey touched the lives of many, and she peacefully passed away on Jan. 11, 2024 leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know her. Julie traveled with her family over the Alcan Highway to Anchorage, Alaska in 1967 where she lived until marring John Adams in 1982. John was in the Army and the couple lived all over the world for the next 5 years until settling down in the south.

Julie was a woman of remarkable intelligence and toughness. Her strength became evident as she faced life’s challenges with a grace that inspired everyone around her. Julie’s journey was deeply intertwined with her family. She was married for 31 years to her beloved husband, John Adams, until his passing in 2013. Together, they navigated life’s highs and lows, sharing a bond that endured the test of time. The profound loss of her son, Micheal, in 2016, was a heartbreak that Julie faced with courage and resilience. She found solace in the love and memories shared with her surviving son, Trenton. Julie’s strength as a mother was further demonstrated in her role as the devoted caretaker of her adopted special needs son, Donavan. Her selflessness and unconditional love created a home filled with warmth and acceptance.

Professionally, Julie’s career was diverse. She worked as a restaurant manager and waitress for many years, was an inspiration to her co-workers. Her ability to navigate this dynamic and demanding industry showcased not only her managerial skills but also her dedication to providing exceptional service. Additionally, Julie contributed her talents to Walmart, where her smart and diligent approach earned her respect and recognition. While Julie spent the majority of her life in Tennessee, the last six years saw her residing in Washington. This new chapter reflected her adaptability and openness to life’s changes. Even in a different setting, Julie continued to radiate the same strength and resilience that defined her character.

She is survived in life by Sons-Trenton and Donavan. Parents- Gary and Lynetta Anderson, and Mert Stromire. Along with six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Husband – John, Son – Micheal and sisters, Gina and Leslie.

She now reunites with her husband John and son, Micheal in eternal rest. Her memory will be cherished by family and friends, celebrating a smart and strong woman who personified deep and enduring love for her family. As we bid farewell to Julie, let us remember her as a beacon of love, strength, and resilience. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us to cherish the love and connections we share with those around us.
