Six people have tossed their hats in the ring for Tullahoma school board while three people, including a sitting Tullahoma alderman, are running for county property assessor.

The field was set in stone Thursday at noon when deadline fell to get onto the ballot for the Republican Primary which will be held March 5 of the coming year. No one qualified to run either Democrat or Independent, so winners in the March 5 primary will likely move on without competition during the August general elections barring the introduction of write-in candidates.

In the race for County Property Assessor, three candidates have emerged to follow Beverly Robertson, who is retiring after this term. Among the number is Elissa Keele Fletcher, an employee of Robertson’s office, and William Huel Goldston, who is a financial, tax and real estate professional and entrepreneur. Both are Manchester residents. Jenna Amacher, a member of the Tullahoma aldermanic board, has also qualified to seek the office.

For Tullahoma City Schools Board of Education, two people have made the ballot to run for the spot vacated by the resignation of former member Sid Hill. They include Elizabeth Harrison, who was appointed to fill his role after he resigned, and Rosie Graham.

Seeking the other seats on the school board are Broc Compton, Fanchyon Miller, Kim Uselton and J. Patrick Welsh. Uselton and Welsh are incumbents.

For Coffee County School Board Seat 1 – Districts 1, 3 and 4, Holly J. Matthews, Gary P. Nester and Sherie Petty have qualified. For Seat 2 – District 2, 6, and 7 Gary L. Cordell and Scott Hansert have qualified. Robert F. Gilley and Beth Yentsch have qualified for Seat 3 – Districts 5, 8, and 9. Susan I. Parsley and Lee Sullivan have qualified for Manchester City School Board.

In the county commissioner races, Dowe Lanford Jones qualified in District 1. Benton D. Brown, Roger W. Chambers and Lee Sullivan qualified in District 2. Arlis Markum qualified for Road Commissioner, Seat 2 – District 4. Randal Braker qualified for Constable, Seat 3 – District 5, 8, and 9.
