Mary Frances Carter of Tullahoma, away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2023 at her home at the age of 84.

Mrs. Carter was born in the Harmony community in Franklin County to the late Guy and Beulah Reese Morgan. During her life, Mary was a member of West End Baptist Church in Tullahoma, and enjoyed working in her flower and blackberry gardens. Most of all, she adored being a grandmother, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Carter; four brothers, Robert, Guy, Gerald, and Fred Morgan; and four sisters, Marie Holloway, Ruby Grant, Elizabeth Steverson, and Kate Barnes.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sheila (Joe) Burns, Selina (Randall) Todd, and Delayne (Tim) Holt; two sisters, Inez Lewis and Gracie Ann Moore; one brother, Jerry (Anna) Morgan; six grandchildren, Joey (Lacey) Burns, Brian Burns, Justin (Sheena) Todd, Ashley (Will) Taylor, Mollie Tankersley, and Alex Tankersley; and eight great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Sophia, Levi, Jade, Kiley, Olivia, Wyatt, and Walker.

Funeral Services will take place Saturday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at West End Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Grosch officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
