Leida Joyce Powers Young, age 89 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Decherd on May 13, 1934, to the late Claude and Icalene (Warren) Powers. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
