Shannon Michelle Evans Obituary
Shannon Michelle Evans of Tullahoma passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 after an extended illness at the age of 45.
Shannon was born in Shelbyville to Charles and Carol Rouse Evans who survive. She graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1996, followed by Motlow State Community College in 1998. Shannon was of the Catholic faith, and loved going to the beach, and fishing. She was a proud mother, and was very protective of her children and her family. She did not care what other people thought, and was very strong-willed, but above all was exceptionally caring. She loved animals, and shared her home with her two cats and snake. Shannon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carol and Howard Rouse, and Marion and Helen Evans; Aunts and Uncles, Joan Dotson, Jimmy Eason, David and Wanda Evans, Robert Rouse, Linda Doss, and Phoebe Rouse; and two cousins, John and Chad Evans. She is survived by her loving parents, Charles and Carol Evans; two daughters who were the light of her life, Lynsey Jackson (Bentlee Dodson) and Nevaeh Houhtaling; her dedicated sister, Holly Petty (Clyde); one nephew, Dylan Petty (Kylee); Aunts and Uncles, Bob Dotson, Mary Jean Evans, Carolyn Faye Eason, Leon Evans (Barbara), Beth Rouse, John Rouse, Scott Rouse (Robin), and Kathleen Rouse; a host of cherished cousins, and her best friend, Emily Smith.
Shannon’s family will be planning a private service to celebrate her life at a later date. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Shannon’s memory be made to the Lynsey and Nevaeh School Fund – c/o Holly Petty at Ascend Federal Credit Union.
