What little one doesn’t love the magic of make believe?

A local company, Happily Ever After Parties, is offering a night to bring that magic to life for one enchanted ball, Dec. 16 at the University of Tennessee Space Institute’s (UTSI) lakeside dining hall, the View.

Happily Ever After co-owner Bridgette Woodall said that the Snow Ball will have Disney-styled characters from the “Frozen” film, the Ice Princesses and the Ice Prince. Children and adults alike will recognize these three as Elsa, Anna and Kristoff.

The special guest to the ball will be Santa, who will be available for photos, along with the ice princesses and Prince.

Woodall said that there will be treats and crafts, activities and games – a good Christmas celebration.

“And of course there will be music and dancing. You can’t Princesses without music and dancing,” she said.

The event is open to all ages, but geared toward youth ages two to five years old.

“The View is beautiful. The windows, that’s why it’s called the View,” Woodall said.

“It will be a wonderful time, and who doesn’t want to meet Santa?” she said.

Woodall said that Happily Ever After Parties strives to make magic accessible for everyone.

She said that the ticket price is affordable to allow all families to participate.

Happily Ever After Parties was started in the model of Princess Parties by Ever After Productions where Woodall worked.

“This has been my life since 2016. Every weekend I’ve spent in a princess costume for so many years,” she said.

“When the last owner shut down, I couldn’t bare it, so I when ahead and started my own,” Woodall said.

The costumes are new, but the cast and core values carry on in this new venture.

“We are still growing, but we have most of the Princesses, and two Princes, Eugene (Tangled) and Kristoff. We also have superheroes… Captain America, Spiderman, Batman,” Woodall said.

Birthday and special event parties are a special day for the birthday child. Princesses have a coronation ceremony, while a budding superhero goes through a superhero training program.

There is singing and dancing before games.

“We mainly let the kid decide what they want to do because it’s their day,” Woodall said.

“They are always awestruck. I don’t think I’ve meet a single child that was just chill with it,” Woodall said.

“I remember almost every single kid I’ve done a party for. They are so important and exciting to be around,” she said.

The Princess Parties by Ever After Productions group had a strong theater background, Woodall, on the other hand, attended princess party and knew straight away that’s what she wanted to do.

She responded right away and asked for an audition. She got the job and was hooked.

Woodall has two main characters she specializes in, Anna and Rapunzel. She is best suited as a shiny, bubbly character.

“I have the most amazing cast. I feel I could put them as anybody and they would shine,” she said.

The Snow Ball will be 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at The View at UTSI, located at 411 B H Goethert Parkway in Tullahoma. Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. for pictures. Tickets are $15 per person at happilyeverafterparties.godaddysites.com.
