Elbert Donald Gipson, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family just shy of his 89th birthday. He was born on Dec. 21, 1934, in Monteagle, to the late Elbert Henry Gipson and Harley (Gilliam) Gipson. Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 20.  Visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. with service to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Moore Cortner Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Bradley officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
