The Tullahoma Middle and High School swim teams hosted Franklin County on Tuesday for their second meet of the year.

The THS team won 85-59 for their second win over Franklin County. The TMS team won 71-26 for their second win over Franklin County.

The girls’ team rankings were THS with 72 points, East Middle with 37, FCHS with 23, West Middle with 17 and North Middle with 2 points. The boys’ team rankings were FCHS with 36 points, THS with 13, EMS with 12, North with 8, South with 6 and West with 3.

The first event was the Women’s 200 yard medley relay and Tullahoma won both high school and middle school competition. The THS team finished in two minutes 5.20 second. The team was made up by Jessica Jones, Ellie Uehlein, Olivia Murphy and Ella Farmer. East’s team of Jayla Brotemarkle, Lexi Brown, Ella Bennett and Jacy Kate Murray finished in 2:23.35. The next even won by Tullahoma was the Women’s 200 yard freestyle. Jones won the event with a time of 2:15.51. Bennett won the even for East with a time of 2:33.94. The next event the 200 yard individual medley was won by Murphy in 2:26.61. Samantha Johnson won the event for West with a time of 2:57.43. Ethan Brotemarkle won the Men’s 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:07.12 for the Panthers. Murphy picked up another win in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.88 seconds. Sophie Farmer had the best time of the middle school competitors, finishing in 32.17 seconds. E. Brotemarkle won the 50 yard freestyle with the fastest time of every competitor at 24.05 seconds, 3 seconds faster than the high school winner. Hallie Tipps won the 100 yard butterfly for West with a time of 1:08.66. Jones had the best finish for the high school competitors with a time of 1:19.53. Uehlein won the 100 yard freestyle in 1:02.83 for THS and J. Brotemarkle won it for East with a time of 1:10.28. Brotemarkle was just .08 seconds ahead of Samantha Johnson for West, the second place finish for middle school.

Tipps won the fifteenth event, the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 6:11.02. The THS 200 yard freestyle relay team of Jones, Uehlein, Farmer and Murphy won with time of 1:52.62. The East team of Bennett, Brown, Murray and Brotemarkle won the middle school completion in 2:05.84. Murray won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:19.44 and Lexi Lester won the event for THS in 1:24.01. Will Nelson won the 100 yard backstroke for the Wildcats in 1:13.20. Brown won the 100 yard breaststroke for the Panthers with a time of 1:36.75. Bryleigh Holder won the event for THS finishing in 1:40.96.

The Tullahoma swim teams’ next meet is Fri, Dec. 8 at Shelbyville. The meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
