City Administrator Jason Quick has named Jason Ray as the city’s next Assistant Finance Director/Treasurer.

“Jason is very knowledgeable and resourceful in the areas of local government finance and administration,” Quick stated. “Moreover, he is very personable to those who know him and always stands ready to lend a helping hand. Undoubtedly, adding him to the team at City Hall will pay many dividends for us all and help us position the City for exciting growth and enhanced quality of life. Please join me in welcoming Jason aboard.”

To prepare for the next chapter in the history of Tullahoma, and to provide the necessary structure needed to analyze current and future projects presented to the city, the responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Finance position have grown in responsibility and now is titled Assistant Finance Director/Treasurer.

Ray will assume the position with over 25 Years of experience in the fields of management, bidding/procurement, accounting, and human resources.

“It’s a pleasure and a privilege for me to serve the City of Tullahoma in this capacity. My passion for Tullahoma runs deep and it’s my desire to see all of Tullahoma’s interests thrive,” Ray said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to return to governmental accounting and serve the citizens and City personnel in this role. It’s a full-circle moment for me as my mother (Linda) served in the role of Assistant City Recorder for the City from 1967 – 1988. So, these hallways hold a special place in my memory. I’m looking forward to working with and learning from the Finance Department staff as well as being part of the entire City of Tullahoma team.”

The position of Assistant Director of Finance is currently held by Donna Graham and after 19 years has announced her retirement in December.

Quick praised Graham and said Graham has “faithfully served as the Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Tullahoma for many years and has done a fantastic job in stewardship of our town’s resources.”

“I know she is excited to spend more time with her family and cheering on her team the Alabama Crimson Tide,” he added.
