Parks and Rec announces quarterly schedule

Tullahoma Parks and Recreation has announced many new and free programs at both C.D. Stamps and D.W. Wilson Community Centers.
Beginning with game nights for families. Board games and gym games, think Catch Phrase, Pictionary, and Twister, some nights and basketball, volleyball, or dodgeball on other nights.
October is National Hispanic Heritage Month at C.D. Stamps Community Center and at D.W. Wilson Community Center November is Native American Heritage Month.
“We are decorating, and we have free craft nights planned for kids to celebrate those cultures,” said Amy Barnes, Program Coordinator. “We encourage families to participate and enjoy these activities.”
She noted there is something for the whole family. “We’ve got family movie nights planned,” she said. “Bring your family and some blankets and pillows. If you’ve ever experienced movie nights in the gym, you know, it’s a wonderful, and cozy shared experience, perfect for a chilly fall or winter evening. There will be free popcorn served. Invite your neighbors and friends.”
For those who like to read, a book club is just around the corner. “We are beginning a book club, come join us and help us choose our first book on October 7in the Cultural Room at C.D. Stamps Community Center, from 3-4 p.m.,” she said. This club is open to everyone. If you have ever wanted to be a part of a book club, here’s your chance.”
Five Star Fall Festival is coming to Frazier McEwen on November 11, from 2-6 p.m. This event has it all, 15 food trucks, live music, artisan crafts, games, and hayrides. Free admission.
Sun Tai Chi is a new addition to our fitness program and will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays at C.D. Stamps Community Center from October 16-November 22, in the gym at 8 a.m. It is $3 to attend.
