Four vehicles were burglarized in broad daylight Oct. 20 at Short Springs Natural Park on Powell Road.

Tullahoma police reported they found four vehicles with their windows busted out when they arrived around 4 p.m. One of the owners said her wallet was stolen out of the front passenger seat with the wallet containing cash and her debit card. Lawmen pointed out the thief wasted no time in trying to take advantage of the stolen card.

“While obtaining information, she (the victim) stated she had received a notification that someone attempted to use her debit card to buy items on Amazon Prime but no money had been taken due to her locking her card once she noticed her wallet stolen.”

Near the burglarized Mazda police found a Ford Expedition with the back passenger window busted. The victim reported her purse containing license, social security card, debit card and birth certificate were stolen.

A Dodge Ram parked down the line had its front passenger window busted out but nothing was taken. However, a Chevy Equinox which had its back passenger window busted out saw a loss of cash and credit cards.

The case remains under investigation.
