THP releases report of fatal three-vehicle crash on Highway 41A

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released its report on the fatal crash on Highway 41A this past week that claimed the life of a Franklin County teen.
Fatally injured was William Ward Jr., 18, of Franklin County, who was wearing a seat belt. Another driver, Samuel Sutton, 25, was also injured in the wreck. His passenger’s, Kobe Immon, 20, injury status was listed as “unknown” in the report.
According to the report, on Sept. 6 at 2:45 p.m. a 2001 Ford Ranger, driven by Ward, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 41A (North Jackson Street) when it left its lane of travel. The Ford Ranger crossed the center left turning lane and entered the northbound lane of travel when it struck a Chevrolet truck, driven by Sutton, that was traveling north on U.S. Highway 41A, in a head-on manner. Both vehicles came to uncontrolled rests. The third vehicle, a Toyota 4-Runner driven by Casondra Daniel, 35, was also traveling north on the highway and drove through the debris at the area of impact before coming to a controlled rest. Per the report, Daniel was uninjured and no charges were filed.
