Tullahoma Myla Dennis finishes as first girl

The Wildcats traveled to Manchester for a three-way, 18-hole District Match against Coffee Central and Shelbyville Central and junior Myla Dennis finished with the low individual score.

The event finished up the ‘Cats regular season with a record of 41-19-2. They played a District Championship Practice Round this week at Bear Trace Tims Ford and the District Championship on Monday.

Myla Dennis shot a 94 to beat out Araya Hughes from Coffee County as the lowest round score for the four girls competing. The boys’ team had a total score of 349, 19 strokes back from Coffee County who won the match. The Wildcats were led by Keegan Taylor with an 85, which was the sixth best score out of 15. The other scores for the ‘Cats were Brody Fulmer with an 86, Alex Miller and Baylan Tuten with an 89. The score not counted for the team was Jack Hill’s 98.

The Wildcats’ JV team also competed against Coffee County’s and came up just seven shots short of a win. Their team score was a 369. Caden Finchum led the team with an 87, the second best score. Andrew Fulmer had a 93, Owen Weaver had a 94 and Trevor Cole’s 95 rounded out the team’s score.  Hudson Stroop shot a 105 as the other ‘Cat who competed.
