The Tullahoma high school golf team finished the Webb School Invitational in fifth with a total score of 347, 20 strokes higher than their third place performance in the Lawrenceburg Invitational last week.
The scoring for the boys was Jack Hill with 82, Alex Miller with an 84, Keegan Taylor with an 85, Caden Finchum 96, and Andrew Fulmer with a 99. The whole team shot under 100 which is better than the first tournament they competed in. The ‘Cats finished 40 strokes behind the second place team in the Invitational. The host Webb won the tournament with a total score of 297.
Myla Dennis the only girl on the golf team for Tullahoma. The tournament requires two scores for a girls’ team, so Tullahoma did not place. Dennis finished third with a score 89. That was four strokes fewer than her score in the tournament last week. The only two girls to finish above her are on Webb’s team and that is their regular course.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Monday when they go to Cookeville for another tournament style competition. They are playing in the Cookeville Early Bird Invitational at the Cookeville Country Club.
