The Tullahoma High School golf team went to Manchester Monday to play in a three team 9-hole district match.
The Wildcats beat Marshall County but were unable to take care of Coffee County. The ‘Cats boys’ team finished with a total score of 172. That was the total of the top four scorers for the team. Alex Miller led the way for Tullahoma with a 39, which was the second best individual score. Jack Hill and Keegan Taylor were right behind Miller, with a 42 and 44. Caden Finchum rounded out the team’s score with a 47. Jesse Gillis and Baylan Tuten also participated in the match. Gillis shot a 49 and Tuten had a 52.
Myla Dennis played for Tullahoma as the lone female competitor. The team has to have two scores for the team to have a qualifying score, so the Wildcats did not place as a team for the girls’ group. Dennis shot 50, which was the best individual girls’ score.
The district match has now brought the ‘Cats record to 22-12 on the season. Their next event is the Golden Classic Invitational at WillowBrook Golf and Country Club.
