Wildcats hard at work

The Tullahoma high school boys’ basketball team had a busy week last week playing in eight different camp games.
The ‘Cats went 7-1 on the week, after winning the first six games of the week. Their first two games of the week were in Coffee County on Wednesday. They played Shelbyville and Coffee County. Both teams made the class 4A Regional Quarterfinals last season. They played both teams twice last year and went 1-3 in those games with the lone victory coming at home against Shelbyville. Then they hosted a couple of games at THS on Thursday, including another team that made the 4A Regional Quarterfinals in Stewarts Creek.
Over the weekend they travelled to Memphis for the Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee (BCAT) Hoopfest camp. They went 3-1 in Memphis. They beat Tipton Rosemark Academy 73-31 in their first game of the camp. Later in the day, they beat Union City. They lost their first game of the week Saturday to Memphis Mitchell, but bounced back and beat University School of Nashville 43-36 to end their busy week.
The Wildcats came back Monday to THS and won every game on the day. Varsity and JV went 5-0. The Varsity team won 10 of their last 11 camp games.
“Super proud of our growth and improvement,” said head coach Jason Welch.
