Thank you Tullahoma

The National Association of Letter Carriers conducted their 31st annual national food drive on Saturday, May 13th.

Letters Carriers joined forces with community leaders to help fight hunger throughout the country.

The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is the country’s largest single-day food drive, which provided residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need.

As we know, the need for food assistance is more significant than ever!

That is why, on Saturday May 13 our Tullahoma letter carriers participated in the National Association of Letter Carriers 31st annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.

As our letter carriers picked up, and delivered mail and parcels to the people on their route – they also picked up bags, bags and more bags of food!

I am very happy to report, as a result of their efforts and resident’s participations, this food drive was a big success!

To date, approximately 3,153 pounds of food has been collected!

This food was distributed to four local ministries, The Attic Outlet (Community Cares Ministry), First Christian Church, Good Samaritan of Tullahoma, and Wesley Heights Methodist Church. This food will help feed those in need in the Tullahoma community.

The success of this event means so much to the ministries, and especially to those we serve.

So, thank you- Tullahoma – for taking the time to “Fill a Bag & Help Feed Families.”
