Web of Diamonds
One day I watched a little spider
Weaving her mysterious thread
Round and round she traveled
Spinning her silken web.
The morning dew was kind to her
Causing her web to sparkle and shine
Charging dew drops into diamonds
Fantasy on my mind.
She moved so slowly, it seemed as if
She wasn’t moving at all
But soon she had draped the little tree
That stood by the garden wall.
The design she wove was beautiful
She asked for no fanfare
No audience or applause
Just floating in the air.
The little spider was filling her role
In God’s perfect plan of creation
Leaving her web of diamonds
To my imagination.
