The Tullahoma middle school golf team’s season ended after a tough loss against Westwood in extra holes.

The game went to a sudden death tiebreaker after the two teams were tied 6-6 flags after all four matches. Westwood was able to win the flag and take the game at that point.

Every pair for the Wildcats teams added to the flag total. The teams of Alex Miller/Kayden Shultz and Jack Reed/Peyton Miller led the way, as both pairs secured two flags for the ‘Cats. Kyle Tipps and Reece Stewart added a key half flag at the end of their match which helped bring the game into a sudden death. Korbin Thompson and Julie Ketcherside gained 1.5 flags for the team. This was more than the two of them got against Westwood in the regular season.

Tullahoma finished the regular season in second, after only losing one game. Westwood finished in third with two losses, one to Coffee County and the other to Tullahoma. Westwood got their revenge for the loss on April 18 and advance to the conference championship game.

According to coach Barry Bishop, the Wildcat players are already looking forward to next season.
