Wildcats serve Red Raiders

Both of Tullahoma’s tennis teams beat Coffee County on Monday. The boys won 5-2 and the girls won 4-3.
The winners on the boys’ team were Luke Reagan, Eli Martinez, Logan Zimecki, Chase Banks, and the doubles team of Reagan/Ryan Tenison. Martinez and Banks both won their match 9-7. Zimecki and Reagan both won their singles match 8-5. The doubles match for Reagan/Tenison ended 8-4. The Wildcats won because they were able to continue rallies and avoid hitting the ball into the net or out during long rallies like the Raiders did.
Adyson Orr, Lexa Barnes, Natalie Turpin, and the doubles team of Leila Lusk/Turpin were the winners for the girls’ team. Orr won her match 8-5. Barnes beat her opponent 9-7. Turpin’s singles game ended with a score of 8-6. The doubles match for Lusk/Turpin was won 9-7. Like the boys team, the Lady Wildcats won because they committed fewer errors than the Lady Raiders.
The Tullahoma Tennis team will be back at it next week. They play Moore County Tuesday, away at Lakewood. Then Thursday they go to Lincoln County to play. Then on the Tuesday the 25th, they play Coffee County again this time in Manchester.
